    If the error message number is me039

and message is delivery date in past

u can change in configuration

spro path :

spro-material management -purchasing - environment data - define attributes of system message - system message - application area is me no - 039 check your  version , how it is maintained Error or warning

or else it may be due to some abap  restriction
