Re: variable at bex

Hi,

Let me explain the alternative approach a bit further. I suggest to work in the BEx Query with 0FISCYEAR (Fiscal Year in the format YYYY) and 0FISCPER3 (Posting Period in the format PPP) to replace 0FISCPER (Fiscal Year/Period in the format YYYY.PPP). 0FISCYEAR is much easier to handle if you need offsets.

Example:

Variable ZFISCYEAR, ready for input, type manual input, single value

User selects: 2014

Variable ZFISCPER3, ready for input, type manual input, single value (or interval)

User selects: 006

With these variables you can calculate the respective Fiscal Years you need for comparison purposes. You only need to work with offsets.

Restricted Key Figure 1 uses Input Variable ZFISCYEAR (2014) with an offset of minus 1 (leads to 2013)

Restricted Key Figure 2 uses Input Variable ZFISCYEAR (2014) with an offset of minus 2 (leads to 2012)

Etc.

For the Posting Period you can work either with a single period by selecting Input Variable ZFISCPER3 (006), or an offset (e.g. minus 1, leads to 005), or an interval (e.g. interval from 001 to ZFISCPER3).

Please let me know if this answers your question.

Thanks,

Sander
