I have SAP servers which are running on Physical servers since 8th years old hardware. We are nearly to close the deal with hardware vendor and with VMWare environment. We have plan to move all physical servers on virtual environment including SAP Production Cluster with 2 nodes.
Our existing physical servers cores and memory are calculated as below pastes; The hardware vendors have recommend their solution with 4 blade servers with dual core processor, 80 cores , 512 GB RAM and 16tb storage solution.
New Hardware Solution by Hardware Partner
Both vendors have latest technology and hard to select one of them.
I have some question about the cluster environment to move into virtualization. Does it wise decision to move physical SAP cluster into VMware environment.
1) should I use Microsoft clustering into VM ? or should I use the VMWare Cluster instead of clustering ?
Please help me take the decision to select the technology !
