I am trying to research how I can schedule a Crystal For Enterprise (C4E) report based on a Bex query daily while automatically changing the date prompt within the report dynamically each day to the current date.
I have a Bex query with variable "Key Date", the out of the query is dependent on the key date selection. User want to schedule the Crystal Report based on the query at a daily run frequency but wants the key date variable to be set to the current day every day. There is also a requirement to set a schedule by setting the key date to the last date of the month and change it the following last date of the month as the month changes.
We have BI 4.0 SP7 and also a Sandbox BI 4.1 SP2. I am trying to accomplish the above requirement by bringing in a additional prompt (based on formula variable) where the user will select either a 1 or 2 and then depending on the selection the key date will change based on a user exit.
Has anyone faced this challenge before?
