I am having bit strange problem with the BO-Xcelsius dashboard and Web Service connectivity ---- Would like to frame my question in points ...
Point 1. I am using Xcelsius 2008 SP5 version and using the backend connection via Web Service created on R/3 for RFC function module.
Point 2.One of my colleague is having higher version of the Xcelsius (May be SP6) version. And have created sample Web service which runs correctly....
Point 3. When I use the same Web service for the dashboard I have created in SP5, web service do not work, sometimes it does but not sure in which scenario.
My Question is - Is it true, that the dashboards and web services which I have created in a lower version can work in higher version but higher version web services can not be work on lower version.
(PS: I have fully aware about dashboard downward compatibility is not supported though, only having doubt about Web Services),,,,
And to get the web services working, do I need to upgrade my Xcelsius as well???
Totally confused and having very limited sources of information on SCN as well. Please let me know what u think about it.
